If you don't live in Armenia, you can get a refund on the value-added (VAT) you have paid on purchases within Armenia before crossing the border checkpoint.

When checking in at your need an export confirmation slip from customs for items packed in your luggage. Your bags will then be tagged and you can show them to customs later.

Once you have obtained the customs stamp, your luggage is automatically routed to your flight. You can have your VAT refunded in the branch of the bank located in the departures hall of the airport, or the VAT may be transferred to your bank account upon your request (minus a service fee).

You must present the merchandise itself if requested to do so. Please also have the completed export forms, your passport, and your boarding pass ready to show.
